Joshua Walter Kimmich (born 8 February 1995) is a German professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder or right-back for Bundesliga club Bayern Munich, which he captains, and the Germany national team. Considered one of the best midfielders in the world, he is known for his range of passing, versatility, aggression, and work rate. Kimmich began his senior club career at VfB Stuttgart before moving to RB Leipzig in 2013. In 2015, he joined Bayern Munich and has won eight Bundesliga titles, three DFB-Pokals, the UEFA Champions League, and the FIFA Club World Cup. In 2016, he was named in the Bundesliga Team of the Season for the first time. Kimmich made his senior international debut for Germany in 2016 and was part of the team that won the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup.
