Pedro González López (born 25 November 2002), known as Pedri, is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for La Liga club Barcelona and the Spain national team. Known for his vision, technique, and composure, Pedri is widely considered one of the best young midfielders in the world. He began his career with Las Palmas' youth teams before making his senior debut for the club in 2019. In 2020, he joined Barcelona, where he won the Copa del Rey in his first season. Pedri won the Golden Boy award in 2021, and the Kopa Trophy in 2021 and 2022. At international level, Pedri was selected for Euro 2020, becoming the youngest player to represent Spain at a European Championship. He was awarded the Young Player of the Tournament as Spain reached the semi-finals. He was a key player in Spain's victory at UEFA Euro 2024.
