Vinícius José Paixão de Oliveira Júnior (born 12 July 2000), commonly known as Vinícius Júnior or Vini Jr., is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a winger for La Liga club Real Madrid and the Brazil national team. Considered one of the best players in the world, he is known for his pace, dribbling, and finishing. In 2017, Vinícius became one of the most expensive teenage signings when he joined Real Madrid from Flamengo in a transfer worth €46 million. He has won three UEFA Champions League titles, three La Liga titles, and one Copa América with Brazil. Vinícius was named in the La Liga Team of the Season for 2021–22 and 2023–24. He finished second in the 2024 Ballon d'Or voting and won The Best FIFA Men's Player award in 2024.
